Rules and Info:
It is expected that we will be good stewards of the land and that we will work together to preserve Little Dove Woods for future generations. The following rules are to ensure that we all understand our responsibilities. Rules may be added as necessary. The Little Dove Woods Rules Committee shall remain a standing committee to facilitate changes and to provide continued guidance for the use of the area. Any vacancies on the committee shall be filled by the First Chief with approval of the Grand Chief.
1. Annual Donation of $50.00 due May 2011 or the space will be given to the 1st name on the priority list. You do not need to fill out another application if you already have a campsite.
2. Site is yours until you are done with it
3. Site cannot be sold or transferred to anyone without approval of the Little Dove Woods Committee (see #5)
4. Available sites will be given out based on a priority list
5. Any member with out a site can fill out an application for a site
6. Excessive stays must be approved by the committee
7. Sites restricted to members use (guests allowed with Member)
8. No structures of any type will be built or placed on a site
9. Nothing will be left on the site when you leave (except pet enclosure)
10. No cutting of any trees or limbs (on or off your site) with out committee approval
11. Removal or Replanting of any trees within your site is allowed with committee approval
13. No dumping of black or grey water on the site
14. Leaking black or grey water will be repaired immediately or the unit will be removed from the grounds immediately
15. All trash will be removed from sites by the member
16. All pets will be on a leash or penned
17. Clean up after your pet (through out all METIS lands)
18. No smoking in the woods, trails or access roads
19. Smoking allowed on your site (must have butt can)
20. No loud or excessive noise after 10 pm (includes generator use)
21. Generator must be off by 1000pm unless it is medically necessary
22. Generators will be off anytime the site is un-occupied
23. Parking of all vehicles must be on your site
24. NO camp fires until further review and guidance has been established by the Committee
25. Any criminal behavior such as but not limited to Domestic Violence, Assault, Drug or Alcohol use will not be tolerated YOU WILL LEAVE
Except for rule 25, violations of the above rules will result in the following actions;
1) Verbal warning by the Committee Chair
2) Written warning from the Committee
3) You will be notified in writing that you must leave and that the site will be given to the next person on the priority list
Priority list will be established each year based on the applications received. The priority list will be established by the end of May each year.
